This med. is for moderate pain, which is why refills can be prescribed. It works for that. If you have SEVERE pain, Percocet would obviously work better, but cannot be refilled. For myself, I cannot take NSAIDS or COX 2 INHIBITORS, so this drug is perfect. Percocet can be used for breakthrough pain if necessary. I would like to see it manufactured without acetaminophen as THAT is hard on your liver. A taper should be supervised by Doc. if used for a long period of time.
