I was very anti-mood enhacing medication until I came upon this one. I had/have panic disorder and thought I was going to lose my mind to uncontrollable fear (fight or flight feelings)..it cam so suddenly and prevented me from eating, sleeping, drinking, etc. My doctor put me on this and it may have saved my sanity. I got a grip. I didn't intend to stay on it because if you miss a dose you start to feel VERY strange...I did not like that...but when taken properly it was a savior, and it's the only drug I have ever said that about. I didn't feel worse, or more depressive, I just felt better and clamer. I did go off of it because I want to be as medication-free as possible. But it did help me get control over my panic/anxiety...coming off the medicine slowly was still rough. I had my fiance on the phone almost all night at the worst of the withdrawl. I am usually prescribed the fioricet with codeine, but at the last doctor appt I was accidently prescribed the plain fioricet without the codeine. This stuff barely ever works for me, sometimes if I catch it right on the onset, but other than that...NOTHING.
