It certainly helps me fall asleep quickly, however it fails to keep me asleep. I end up waking up sometime between two and three hours later extremely groggy, clumsy, and wobbly with a headache the size of Texas. It kind of feels like waking up still half-drunk after drinking all night. Then, if I do manage to get back to sleep (which happens more than half the time), I wake up with a massive hangover that takes me forever to crawl out from under. This medication actually started to work for me, without too much sedation. I started out taking 400 mgs(instead of 800) due to my sensitivity to prescription meds, and the warnings regarding allergic reactions. One half hour after the 4th dose I broke out in an itchy rash all over my trunk that is still there 12 hours and 4 benedryl later. The sad thing is that with the first dose I could feel my muscles relaxing and was having less back pain.
