I had a nervous breakdown the first of January and my doctor tried me on Prestique first. After a couple of days, I started shaking and my anxiety and panic attacks started getting worse. She then put me on Prozac and that worked for about 10 days and then I had a really bad reaction. I couldn't sleep; would pace the floor all night and day; started hallucinating and felt like I was going crazy; the end was the day I felt suicidal; I stopped and went back to my doctor. She then tried Seroquel (30 mg) and within a week I almost felt like my old self! We then increased dosage to 60 mg. and I am still on it. It has made all the difference! I can now function again and haven't had a panic attack in almost three months. Episodes of anxiety have also decreased greatly and everyone who knows me says I am my old self again. I was in danger of losing my job, my sanity, and my life until I started taking Seroquel. It does take several weeks for it to really work well, but I have nothing but good things to say about it. Has anyone had skin problems while taking genric Seroquel? While on Seroquel for yrs I began to have what my derm thought was probably adult acne. About a yr and a half ago I stopped taking Seroquel and took Cymbalta but it did not work a well so after a yr I went back to Zolft. Buring the time I was off Zolft I had amazing skin but was being treated with drugs for my skin so did not connect it to not taking Seroquel. But in the 6 months or so I've been back on Seroquel the skin problems are back worse than before. I have been researching everyting I have been eating, taking and touching.
