My husband has been on Doxycycline for 1 1/2 yrs and has not had any seizures,which is good because they were gran mal. His mood swings, irrational behavior, anxiety, anger are out of control and are ruining our lives. He is seeing a different Dr to find out what is going on. The seizures were bad, but this is almost worse. Please try to seek help for the side effects. We were told to take B12 for the mood swings and no blood tests have been done since he's been on it. I was prescribed this medication (300mg - 3 x Daily) along with a steriod and Flexeril for a herniated disk in my neck. I've been taking it now for 2 weeks. I can't for the life of me figure out why I was given this med. I'm in more pain now than when I started taking it. Even though I've told the doc, it's not working, I keep getting the, "give it more time" comment from him.
