Dr. said I had a "possible tendency to develop high BP sometime in future" so prescribed Enalapril 2.5 as "preventative". I started taking Cipro for Anxiety and Panic Disorder. I was at the point where I wouldn't even leave my house. I wouldn't drive and wouldn't go anywhere because I feared having a panic attack. That also led to depression. I started taking Cipro and within a month felt extremely better. The only side effects I had were yawning all the time and trouble sleeping during the first two weeks. I also gained about 25 pounds in a years time. I tapered off the Cipro after being on it for a year because I felt I was "Fixed" now it's about 6 months later and my anxiety has come back worse. Doc tried putting me back on Cipro and it didn't work this time, made my anxiety worse. I've tried Pristiq, Zoloft, and am now trying Cymbalta. I wish I would have never stopped taking Cipro.
