After standing w/my firm no to this med. I finally gave in to the Dr. For months she pushed it...I heard horror stories from numerous nurses,dr's and users of this med. Insurance finally stated would cover so I figured if it helps what have I got to lose?? OMG on med for 2 days(30 mg pill)what a nightmare..I took pill at nite in case it made me tired..tired all I did was sleep I was physically exhausted just to walk up the stairs was a effort after a nap I still felt like I could sleep more which I did. When I was awake all I did was throw up. My kids thought I was seriously dying. I looked awful!! That was the first day the second was the same only I started to feel the effects more on my body. I stopped w/this med and for the next 4 days I have had body aches something awful I am not tired all the time but still not up to my energy level I was at before I now am having trouble sleeping. This is a very expensive med. and the side effects are different for all who have tried it--thanks to our body chemistry. If you are thinking about trying this med. weigh the side effects to your need for this drug. Myself needing this for nerve damage..I should of held my ground and refused to try this. The road to where I was at 10 days ago is along hard one to get back to.Dr's should try this for afew days themselves and see what the side effects are and the recovery road to get back to normal. i am 23 years old and I have been on Body Detox for over a year, with little to no sex drive. I began this drug 2 1/2 years ago. I take 1mg daily. I have an optic nerve condition that causes my vision to go crazy. Everything will go purple, or everything I see is wavy. I even have bouts of complete blindness. It's been hard to not panic and this drug has helped with calming me down and slowing my heart rate. I would panic and pass out and that rarely happens anymore. It is very addictive and I sometimes find myself running out before I'm able to get it refilled. If used properly, very effective. A neurologist prescribed this drug for me for migraines. I think the idea was that it would speed up my digestion and get the actual migraine drug into my system faster. I have a history of anxiety attacks but this drug gave me the worst ones I have ever had! I took it twice before I made the connection that it was the drug causing it. I couldn't sleep, was jittery, heart racing, felt like I wanted to jump out of my skin. Since then, I've had at least 2 doctors tell me what a terrible drug it is and that they refuse to prescibe it.
