I started taking this medication for a tooth infection. The side effects were - acidity, bloating, burping, hiccups, farting, nauseous, vomiting and diarrhea. I developed a persistent nagging vise-like headache. The headache was accompanied by mental fogginess and some dizziness as well. Stopped taking it and the symptoms finally cleared up after 2-3 days. this drug works well getting you to sleep.if i run out it is a long two or three days of no sleep.i stoped taking ambien.i would take it and watch tv until i got tired.the problem is that sometimes i did not go to bed.the first time somthing happened i dont remember any of it at all.i took my bicycle out at 11;00 pm and crashed.my wife woke up around midnight and went looking for me(we live in a small town) when she found me i did not know who she was.the next morning i woke at the hospital.i had a broken wrist,broken thumb,broken ribs,and my face was one big scab.i dont remember any of it.about one year later this happend again,thank god i did not break any thing this time.i have stoped taking this drug because it scares me to think i can do things and not remember them.i could never forgive myself if i were to hurt someone taking this.it is very dangerous. by DEAN from Homer City, PA
**Reasearch all of your medication before you begin to take it!! ** I'm 20 years old and I was prescribed this drug for constantly having bronchitis, due to an allergy for mold. After a week I noticed I was better in that regard, but i contracted pink eye which was really unusual for me. Within a few days later I was hospitalized with tonsillitis, strep, and a 103.7 fever. I continued to have horrible nightmares that would wake me up in a cold sweat and I would have a fever after I took it. It's 4:00am and I'm continuing to research this medication and I have no doubt that this medication has brought this on. I have noticed for the past two weeks I have had the most gruesome dreams and hallucinations. It has caused much more harm than good. From my experience I seem to be more sensitive to side effects as my doctor said many children and older adults can be. I am often on Valtrex starting out at 60mg per day as my asthma is pretty bad. The side affects are the worst for me and my family to handle. My mood changes and I swear I could hurt someone.
