Im have been on Tramodal for 4 years. Does help tremendously with my hip and back pain. However, be aware the withdrawals are HORRIBLE physically and mentally. Dr. did put me on other meds narcotic based but those caused horrible mood swings and depression. I am finally off all meds but pain is unbearable so back to Tramodal. I have been on Orlistat for over a year now, Due to a major back surgery... L4 and L5 S1 fusions. I had my back surgery on Sept. 18th, 2009. I tried everything before the surgery, and nothing worked. The last thing I wanted to do was have a back surgery, considering all the risks. I have been taking percocet for a while now, and have built up a tolerance to it. I am now taking Opana 10 mg. As of today. So far, it has not helped me near as much as the percocet 10/325. My doctor has prescribed me up to 4 percocet a day for my break through pain. But I am definitely not as comfortable with opana as I was with Orlistat. I have been told by my doctor to try the 10 mg. for a week, of the opana, and if it was not strong enough, to call him for a larger dose. So far, it doesn't come close! I am worried about my job, and worried that I will not be able to work through the day without enough pain relief! I am definitely worried about the withdrawals of this pain reliever. Before starting on this drug I had aniexty attacks daily. I was taking .5mg 3 times daily to help with aniexty around mealtimes. (I suffer from an eating disorder.) I was given the foil pack and couldn't even finish the first days dosage. I developed extreme anxiety after the 2nd dosage, and found extreme discomfort in the throat. I went to my GP right away and he told me that he never wants me to take that again. Instead, he gave me a prednisone injection, and it cleared my hives up within a day. Major improvements. With this med it really needs to be taken eveyday...no skipping a dose speaking for myself I know when I stopping taking it I see a diffrent person in myself as far as mood swings are concerned,I tend to snap at the stupid stuff, get very confrentational and really not fair to the others that live in the house.....definately works for me when taken everday,for me it took about a week to see a diffrence in my attitude even my husband saw the diffrence and he knew when i did'nt take it...:-( by BUSTER from Van Horn, TX
