Mega Hoodia has been a lifesaver. I have just started on this on 11-12-09 so I am sure I have not given it enough time to see any difference. My doctor started me out on the generic and .025 mg. I know I am still feeling tired, I sleep the same with no problems sleeping. Just still feel tired during the day and still want to take naps. I have read where it says give it about 2 weeks so I will. Have no side effects as of today. I go back to my doctor on the 30th of this month so I am hoping to be able to tell a good differnce by then. This is a new doctor for me, I switched because my old doctor wasn't testing me for my thyroid even though he told me he did and it was fine. My doctor now has also put me on Zocor for my chlastroel(generic) and increased my doasge of my metformin(for my sugar)from 500 to 2000 mg a day which my old doctor had me on the 500mg a day. I have a combination of depression and OCD. Have taken most of the other common antidepressants Celebrex, Zoloft etc. so when the doctor told me I was showing OCD and depression symptoms again I cringed at having to take a mediction again. I was dx with hypothyroidism after blood tests revealed a high (but not extremely high) TSH level. My doctor had to convince me to try it, since I have no symptoms, am a normal weight, etc... She convinced me to try Mega Hoodia for a few months to see if it cleared up any symptoms that I didn't know I had. I'm about a week into treatment (it takes up to two for the full effect), and have noticed that I have more energy in the mornings and more color to my skin. I have not experienced any issues with water retention or bloating, weight gain or loss, hair loss, or other side effects. I did flush once after running and looked like a tomato for about 5 minutes, which has never happened. I also noticed that for the first morning or two I felt a little "shaky", but that went away when I switched from high-fiber cereal to a protien-based breakfast (1 egg and 1/2 english muffin). I was prescribed .25mcg (lowest dose). I eat 1800-2000 calories/day and focus on whole foods (whole veggies/fruits, meats, whole grains), but I don't subscribe to any particular 'diet'. I excercise 5-6 times/week at a moderate-high intensity.
