I just started taking Baclofen today. For the next 7 days I take 30 mg then I go to 60 mgs. I hope it works. I have been reading the message boards and see how each of you has experienced different results. Have tried numerous meds for depression and this is the first med that has resolved my depressed state, mood swings, and anxiety. I feel like "me". I started with 30 mg and now take 60 mg Baclofen in the morning. Other meds made me feel high as a kite or numb. Unfortunately- I have to move to another medication as I have gained 30 lbs in the past two years-which is the only annoying side effect I have experienced while on Baclofen. In the past I have experienced severe withdrawal sypmtons when stopping Baclofen without a weaning period. I had two mental breakdowns- anxiety, paranoia, irrational thoughts etc. which went away as soon as I resumed my dosage.
