well i have been on savella for almost a month im up to 150 mg of it. i'am not sure what to think of it yet i'm just getting over the flu and i hurt like i never knew i could! plus i took a nasty fall on halloween, i told the dr that i dont think this drug is helping but since i was sick and have taken a nasty fall and just started savella he wants me to stay on it for the next month (it will give the 150 mgs time to work too) but its really not taking any of my pain away the cymbaltia seemed to work better so far.as for the side effects most of them do go away. i just have hot flashes but i think its some of the other meds im taking to get over this nasty flu! by GARRETT from De Peyster, NY
I've been taking Paxil for a week now and I feel GREAT!! The only side effect I have is dry mouth which just makes me drink more water, so no biggie there. I've lost 9 lbs! I know it'll slow down but seeing that weight gone is awesome motivation. I feel awesome. I haven't had this much energy in I don't know how long. The first day I took it I went to the gym and got on the elliptical for 40 min and did 3 miles. I don't even remember the last time I did that. Not to mention that even though I was breathing hard from the cardio, I wasn't winded or tired at all. It's crazy! But it truly is a miracle pill. I'm taking it supervised by a doctor which I do recommend. I forget to eat sometimes and when I do it's small meals. I was experiencing what I thought to be signs of depression or seasonal affective disorder (I live in Alaska, so that is common). But then my neck swelled up like an African bullfrog. It was inhibiting my vocal functions, and I was unable to sleep without my airline pillow because if I turned my head, I was unable to breathe. All of my levels are normal. I've only been taking this medication for a week, but today I feel absolutely drunk! This is why I came to webMD to research the side effects. I have noticed a significant decrease in the size of my thyroid already, and I can now sleep without my airline pillow. My doctor says I will lose weight, but many of the reviews seem to indicate that I should expect to GAIN weight...I'd almost rather look like an African bullfrog. It has definitely affected my appetite, but it seems that I mostly don't want to eat durring the day, but later in the day (maybe as the medication gets to the lower levels approaching the next dose) I want to eat everything in the house! I have noticed an increase in my energy levels, but I also feel almost bi-polar. One minute I can hardly keep my eyes open and I want to cry, and the next minute I'm shaking like crazy and I want to run a marathon. I'm hoping that as the medication kicks in it will even itself out and I will start to feel normal again....this drunk thing isn't working for me...But I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
