I've been on Oxycontin and Neurontin since a botched surgery in Dec. 2002. L5 and S1 fused ok but L3 and L4 did not fuse. Many Docs now say that nerves are so jumbled up that they refuse to do any surgery because of probable paralysis. I am on Oxy 40mg three times daily with Percoset 10/650 as breakthrough relief. It takes a couple of days for it to work but for me it is GREAT. As for pain, I can walk or do light physical activity for 10 minutes but then must sit down for 5 minutes before resuming activity.
