My son is diagosed with Infant Generalized Epilepsy. He woke up one morning and he leg started jerking and he was not responsive. His eyes were fixed up to the ceiling. Brought him to E.R and said it might be nothing and to come back if he had anymore. 2 hours later he had a Grand Mal, called 911 and he was hopspitalized put on a EEG and was diagnosed with Infant Generalized Epilepsy. Doc said he might out grow it by the time he was 3. He doesn't have partial like everyone else does which kind of concerns me. He has been on it for 4 days and all ready he is irritable and has trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. So far he hasn't had any seizures. Right now he is taking .5 Ml and by the 27th he will be on 1.5 Ml. I am very scared to find out what side effects might arise by then since he is on such a low dose now. by TY from Leakesville, MS

I had been on Elavil for a year and really liked it. Other than if you miss a day or even 1/2 day the withdrawels start. I had to quit using it because of the cost. My insurance went up on their prescriptions. The problem I have is the withdrawels from being taken off of it. I am following doctors directions not doing it alone.
