I started taking Prometrium over a week ago. I have had three nights of real sleep (what a treat!). Unfortunately, I also sleep all day too. i was put on Atenolo after having an Anaphylactic reaction to Lisinopril... i had never had high blood pressure before my normal rate was around 105/65 so on the low side of normal even about a month and a half ago my BP raised to around being consistently around 150/99 they had no cause for it i am a 25 yr old female with many health probs they began looking and running many tests. but also began me on meds to control it after the allergic reaction to the lisinopril my bp hit all time highs of 218/169 and showed no signs of lowering no matter what i did, the began me on Atenolo and the first day my BP dropped to mild hypertension levels but my the next day were in high high levels again and didn't begin to lower again till about a week into treatment so it tool a while to actually begin to work correctly, and was hard to get a on a schedule to remember to take daily and where many terrifying moments where i was unsure if the med was helping other than that i am very satisfied i know i will be around to raise my 3 little boys at least until they find the cause for my original raise in BP... SO i would recommend this med to those who cant take other meds bc of allergies and such.. and i feel sorry for everyone who has to deal with high BP esp at a young age when they know nothing about it...its so scary! by ZACHARIAH from Lacrosse, WA
