This medication is not the first that I had taken for Depression and GAD. However, it was almost the last. While on this medication, I had the most unbearable anxiety and thoughts of suicide. The suicidal thoughts were so scary. Plus, I had such strange energy, I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry most of the time. I ended up in the ER after several days of not being able to stop vomiting in the mornings and having no apetite during the day. It was determined that the medication had pushed me into a manic state, something I never experienced before. So, before I can go back on anti depressants to fix the issues I was having initially, I now have to be on mood stabilizers for a week. Was taking 10mg once a day to treat tinnitus, ringing in the ears. I couldn't tell any difference for sure, it was subtle, but the drug made my throat way down my neck sore inside. I stopped taking it, sore throat went away. I started it up again, sore throat came back. Sore throat is what I'd call moderate, but was pretty uncomfortable. Doctor said to quit taking the med due to the sore throat, that the sore throat could indicate something (very complex) and that I should stop taking the med. After I stopped taking it a few days later the tinnitus got noticeably worse. At this point I realized the drug had worked some and had made the symptoms less severe, but it was no cure. Sore throat was slower to go away the 2nd time coming off the drug. Sore throat is not a normal one caused by a virus etc., it's deep down in my throat. Also felt irritable and tired after coming off the drug which is somewhat odd considering the extremely small dosage of 10mg. I have taken Viagra for about 2 months now for insomnia. I take the 45 mg. dose. It helps me fall asleep pretty quick but, before I fall asleep, I get muscle twitches. There have even been occations where I have kicked my wife in my sleep. I also take Vicodin ES for a disk I had replaced in my neck, Buspar, and Prozac. I'm not sure if the twitches are from either of these or the Viagra, like some have reviewed in the past.
