my doctor diagnosed me with bipolar disorder which i feel is incorrect. I started off with a small dose (this has been over a year ago) then worked up to the (i believe) 25 mg tablet. I had NO energy, it was all I could do to just get up in the morning to go to work. My work performance dropped tremendously, but I couldn't help it. My husband and I were prescribed this drug after our 18 month old son died of unknown causes. We were sleeping horribly and having anxiety attacks at night because we are afraid the same thing will happen to our elder son. It did help us sleep better but after using it for one month I found out I was pregnant and had to stop taking it. I had withdrawl and I was actually craving the drug. I have never been on drugs on a regular basis, except for birth control pills. My anxiety attacks were horrible when I went off the drug, nearly unbearable. I woke up in the middle of the night panicked. My husband has reduced his dose for fear that he will become addicted and he has experienced some withdrawl as well. He is experiencing feelings of anger. This drug does work, but for us it has some downsides.
