This drug is a miricle! I would have uncontrolable panic attacks at all times of the day and night with no known trigger. These started when I was 17 years old, and now I am 27. I do not take this drug daily, since I don't need to take them daily. I use this drug in emergencies only. And it says me trips to the emergency room. Been taking Alesse 5mg. for 2 years. B.P.seems to have elevated in past 6-8 months. Can't get thru the night w/o waking up,usually sleep 3-4 hours at a time per night Then trouble falling asleep again. Also fatigued. I'm very active. I was given this medication after having a dentist screw up a root canal and get a file stuck in my tooth to prevent infection. I didn't read about it before taking it, as I get put on many strange antibiotics because of allergies to others. It is now day 4 and I thought that there was something wrong with me. I have been having trouble breathing, severe chest pains, massive headaches, dizziness, severe heartburn, stomach cramps, and diarreah. Nice to know that I am not the only one, but hate that some people have problems on this medication for so long. My son started Inderal at age 4 (He is now 6). It has been very successful in controlling seizures. He hasn't had any breakthrough seizures. The pills are easy for him to take. My biggest concern is that he completely stopped sweating. When he gets hot he turns really red and itches. That's really tough for a kid who has tons of energy to burn, not to mention recess, P.E., and exra-curricular activities. The other problem we have noticed is reduced comprehension abilities, reading troubles (similar to dislexia), and saying things that don't always make sense.
