Had the same knee replaced twice in 5 months - surgeon botched the first one, and the pain was constant and bad. The Relafen didn't relieve the pain, but certainly helped. Unfortunately, by the time I got to the second surgeon (in Boston), it was no longer helping at all. Taken for bad fibro & nerve pain; at 1st I thought it was working pretty well;been on it over a year now & not so sure.I do know vision changes every day,worse since lyrica,can't get accurate eye exam & increased inability to focus attention is killing me.Swelling in extremities;weight gain seems to me to be on increase as time goes on,yet I eat next to nothing.Been on meds for depression/anxiety for years,then fibro & chronic pain came along.I think for me the best effect of the lyrica peaked early & isn't worth the cons anymore.Not even helping my sleep at this point.Don't need another expensive med;just over the whole experience! by JARRETT from Boyle, MS
I took this med at 19 first and was on it a year. My husband talked me into quitting it because "I didn't need it". No negative side effects quitting the first time. I have been on it for 2 weeks and am now 25. I wish I would have never stopped in the first place. I am happier, my moods are more stable, and I physically feel better now. I have been on Super Active ED Pack 10mg for a while now (couple years - and been on it before that). I am trying to wean off of it because of excessive weight gain. I have been taking Wellbutrin XL 300mg now for a while and love it....but I am still taking the lexapro every other day or so with it...to maintain...each time I try to stop the lexapro (like this week, I tried not taking it for 3 days) I go NUTS! EVERYTHING irritates me and I just want to scream at the top of my lungs or hit something?! I can't take it! So of course I took another lexapro this morning....But I really want to stop using it. I gained so much weight on it and don't want to continue. My husband tells me I'm fat and that I should stop using it and just exercise, but I don't think I can handle the irritability I get from stopping it....Any suggestions from anyone???
