I have been using a 5mg daily dose for about two months now. I had tried the 15mg single dose with poor results..it took about 18 hours to work and I got many of the side effects in the first couple of hours. The daily dose is great in that it gave me back the spontaneity I had been missing for years. That alone makes it worthwhile. As far as maintaining a long term erection, it works most of the time for a fairly long time. I had a radical prostatectomy which caused my ed and do not use any other drugs. I get occasional short period of side effects, mainly flushing and heartburn, but they only last a few minutes. My daughter started this drug in Aug when she was 4. At first it worked great but after about 3 weeks we noticed it wasn't working as well. So the Dr upped her dose and again for a few weeks it was great. She has PDD-NOS and RAD. Now we are taking her off the the drug and trying Abilify...not sure if it will make a difference but hopefully it will work. I did notice it makes her tired but only sometimes and she used to sleep all night when she first started the drug but now she is coming into our room in the middle of the night again. She also has weight gain problems so they though this would work good to help her gain weight even though she eats more she has actually lost some weight since she started the medication so not sure what that is about she takes 2 mg a day of this and 15 mg of Buspar in addition.
