I started taking Nexium XR due to mood fluctuations related to my hormones. It worked wonders!! I was on 75 mg. for years with no issues. My insurance company then felt that need to substitute the brand name with generic (which I did not catch, so I could not figure out what was wrong with me), and I crashed-BIG TIME. The generic is in no way like the brand name. It took me a good 3 months to get back to where I was. I have since increased to 150 mg. after the loss of my father, and slipping back a bit. I did notice that if I fluctuate the times of taking it, even by a couple of hours, I will have a difficult time with anxiety/sweats. Has anyone else ever experienced that? When I called the doctor they automatically wanted to increase the dosage, but I am hesitant to do so because I am fearful that everytime I increase it gets me closer to being at the max I can take, and I don't want to ever get to a point where I can't take this med. I am extremely med sensitive, and to find something that works for me is a godsend. I started taking this medicene for chronic lower back pain and trouble sleeping. The medicene reduced my pain tremendously and worked great to help me sleep but the side effects were what I couldn't take. I actually had 2 panic attacks and felt anxious and antzy all the time. I started strattera about 5 months ago, and I can barely tell a difference in my ability to concentrate or perform in school. It's almost like I haven't taken any medication at all. I tried Concerta as well with the same effects, which were unfortunatley none at all.
