Didn't think this drug was working for me (still had some pain in my knee) but stopped taking it (with doctor's permission) and the pain was greater/more noticeable. I have reflux occasionally. after a particularly bad bout my Dr. put me on this drug. Which I have to say has worked. In the past 2 mos I've been taking it I have only had 2 days where my chest hurt and I had the reflux symptoms return. I don't need to be on this drug very long, just long enough to heal any erosion that may have been caused by the intermittent reflux. I have not had any weight gain but I have noticed a very full bloated feeling in my stomach. I do have tingling as well. In my upper back and scalp which I'm not sure are related to this drug. I knew growing up that i had a problem with focusing & motivation for anything. i caused trouble in school to make the days more exciting or i would count repeatedly in my head & obsess on objects, instead of paying attention. (i also suffer from diagnosed OCD)after high school, i found myself breaking up my family & the life we had going for us, just so i could live my life on the edge with alcohol, pills, & sex. all because i was bored with life & i needed the adrenaline rush to stimulate my mind & body. i was officially diagnosed with ADD without hyperactivity at the age of 23 & started off with Ritalin, which didn't even touch my ADD. i'm finally taking what i wanted all along.. Lidocaine and Prilocaine Gel. i now take 30mg twice a day & it has made all the difference in the world. i can finally focus on tasks at hand, i have the motivation & energy to get things done, and people & things don't irritate me as badly as they did before. side effects? it does give you an addictive "high" that's supposedly comparible to cocaine, so i do see the potential for abuse. it causes insomnia for me if taken too late in the day or if i double my dosage, but i can take my next dose that morning & run like i had a full-night's sleep. i was 143lbs when i started taking Lidocaine and Prilocaine Gel (which is the biggest i have EVER been in my life, due to eating for comfort after the death of my sister) but i am now 126lbs after 3-4 months of being on Lidocaine and Prilocaine Gel. i literally have no appetite anymore.. unhealthy & i know this BUT i honestly love seeing my lbs drop. also makes my heart race at times & can be somewhat alarming, especially since my heart rate is on the high side anyways. the major issue i have had (that i haven't seen from other users) is my OCD is worse than ever now. maybe i'm focusing TOO much & that triggers my OCD? other than that, i think the benefits outweigh the side effects. thank you Lidocaine and Prilocaine Gel. sorry for the long story, but i hope my experience helps & someone else can relate :) by LON from Brainardsville, NY
