i have adhd and have been prescribed ritalin. iv had adhd since 2nd grade and iv been through adderall, ritalin, stratera and concerta. stratera didnt work at all. anyways i got prescribed to ritalin last week and i saw noticable effects about 40 minutes after taking it the first day. i can focus much better, i dont fall asleep in class and can do my work at a rediculous pace. bad part is my appetites gone ( all ive eaten in 2 days is a chicken strip) i feel really shaky, my eyes are much more sensitive to light although my pupils are the same size as usual, i have increased muscle tension in my face and jaw, and i have a really hard time sleeping. i weigh 180 and am taking 3 doses a day at 10mg each. my final dose is taken before 3pm and last night i fell asleep only with the aid of a tranquilizer known as zolpidiem but woke up at 2 and laid in bed, trying to fall asleep, until 730 when i had to go to school. it was very frustrating, yet odly enough i dont really feel tired at all. but yeah i guess the medicines doing what its supposed to do, but im thinking that its doing a lot of things its not supposed to do too. by ELWOOD from Odin, MN
I don't know why I read these posts.Confusing. Half say it's great, the other say it's horrible. Doc put me on it at my request. I was only borderline low but it does seem to help a little energy wise. 100 MCG. I have noticed no side effects at all. Don't let the negative posts discourage you.
