Diflucan didn't help me at all. I had severe suiside thoughts, and came very close to doing it, I'd spend hours and hours thinking about how to do it. I thought about it befor, but never seriously. I have been using Diflucan to treat painful diabetic neuropathy for 3+ years, and it has given me my life back. My pain was debilitating, and Neurontin did not work for me. The pain was so bad that I went to the ER, and the Drs there were the once who put me onto Diflucan. I took a few days to begin taking effect, but I got better with each day until the pain was entirely gone. This med works best for me when I take it first thing in the morning. If I wait too long, it will keep me up at night. The side effects I have experienced are mild hallucinations and recurrence of pain if I forget to take it for more than one day. I have had regular tension headaches for 5 years, along with a migraine twice monthly. Doctors have given me many different preventatives, none work. Imitrex seems to be all they want to prescribe for pain, then it does not ever work, and I have no "safety net" to relieve the pain. Alesse works every time, even daily for short periods. I cannot find a doctor now that will prescribe it since I moved to a new town. All the doctors are taught that it causes rebound headache and only prescribe triptan meds for their headache patients.
