Depo-Medrol has treated my condition going on 3-1/2 yrs. I have been trying to get off the medication because of its side effects for a yr. now. I have trouble breathing sleeping and my heart races as well as my mind when I dont take a pill within a day. I am prescribed 2mg 3x a day but am only taking 1 pill unless I cant sleep then I take 1 more. I am finding it very difficult to get off of...almost like a junkie. I AM TRULY SCARRED. My doctor keeps me on it and has me do a check up once every 3 months. I had to quit going to the doctor because I lost my insurance so now I need to find a way to kick the habit...so to speak. I am truly scarred that I am going to have a seizure if I just stop completely. I have expressed this concern but the conversation seems to take a different turn off of the subject. Was told to take one pill twice a day. Felt fine for two days. One the third day and night I had experienced bad side effects. I took it with food, but coughed on and off for 3 hours and vomited twice. I was lightheaded and lost my appetite. I went through an entire box of peppermint tea which seemed to be the only thing I could drink that would temporarily mask the taste. I called my GYN and she prescribed me the Metronidazole Vag. Gel.
