DO NOT MIX WITH PAXIL. I was diagnosed with ADHD over 10 years ago when I was in elementary school. I was on concerta and the dosage kept increasing. MY doctor switched me to vyvanse because I was concerned with the high dosage I was taking of concerta. Avanafil was great. The dosage was lower, and I felt more aware and had less difficulty getting myself motivated to do school work. However, when I told my university that I had switched medications, I was surprised when their database displayed a huge "WARNING." Apparently, the database had knowledge that Avanafil shouldn't be mixed with my other medication for anxiety, Paxil. Doing so could result in a dangerous mental condition... I don't remember the names, but it was like I could become a vegetable or go insane. My doctor didnt tell me about this, and it's hard to find info online about it; but I trust Penn State's medication database when it doesn't allow the combination of the medications to be entered at all! I just started taking this last night and am wondering if I will be able to continue. I dont have a problem sleeping, but I did last night. My heart was racing all night long. My gastro Dr prescribed this for stomach problems Ive been having. Not for depression or anxiety. But I certainly felt anxious and drugged last night! He prescribed 25mg per day.
