I have low back pain, possibility of nerve damage. I immediately started having digestive issues upon useage, and it did not slacken the pain at all. I have acid reflux, so this product should never have been prescribed.... Doctors need more training, more consulting b4 just throwing scripts at us. by JAIME from Vanderwagen, NM
Taken as a supplement to Celexa. I take it for PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. It has really seemed to help a great deal. I have experienced a strange side effect though. I've developed either PAD or RLS. My doctor and I are working to find out if it's specifically the medication or whether it's merely exacerbating an already existent condition. Also tried to take it in the morning to balance out the drowsiness and it has helped a great deal. I take my dose have a cup or two of coffee and I'm good to go. Have a strange feeling of tension on occasion as well, much like if my whole body were tense in anticipation of a blow or some sort of action or reaction. (It's really hard to describe) Going to give it the good ol' college try and we shall see how steady she sails. by VALENTIN from Pocahontas, VA
Had a heart attack at age 34, but otherwise am extrordinarly healthy. Cholesterol levels were not abnormally high to begin with, just my luck in having a blood clot in a main atery. I took Simvastatin for 8 months after the attack with just minor sore muscle discomfort, but then started to have constant muscle aches and pains in the chest. The drug did lower my cholesterol over the time I was taking it. I stopped taking the drug, and after about two months, the pain stopped. Began taking again to confirm whether the drug was to blame, and chest aches began again within two weeks. I've stopped taking again, and the pain went away. I haven't given up on statin drugs yet, and I am switching over to another type, but I think I can live without Simvastatin. by BYRON from Carefree, AZ
I reviewed this drug a few months ago, so heres an update. I was up-ed from 30mg to 45 mg and Im starting to get major mood swings, and crying spells, so I am slowly tapering off to 15mg (Ive never been on anything less then 30mg), to see if I get the same therapy effect without these side effects (weight gain, spacey, mood swings, etc..) I am not Bi-Polar, I am OCPD/GAD/OCD/Panic Disorder. As Im tapering off I seem to be getting better, even my anxiety has gone down. Im off Lamictal (horrible side effects and withdrawals.) So hopefully the 15 mg is the right thing for me. The doc says I have to be on a depression pill (I dont know why.) And of all the other pills Ive tried, Ive liked this one the best, so hopefully it will all work out. by GUADALUPE from Ida Grove, IA
BP seems to be under control. Having right arm discomfort, left pain in the big toe, middle and third toe. Getting ready to switch. Also read in a medscape article that ARBs (benicar is an ARB) in general have been linked to lung cancer. Has anyone else read that or heard that? by GERALDO from Blairsden-graeagle, CA
