This worked to get rid of the urinary tract infection, but TWO MONTHS LATER i have severe tendonitis in both achilles tendons, due to cipro. My tendons are seriously swollen and very sore, I cannot walk up or down stairs easily and I can barely walk a block. The problem seems to be getting worse, not better. This is not a minor side effect, it is quite serious. I cannot believe they are still prescribing this drug given that they apparently know about this problem, which seems quite widespread and not limited to rare instances. I have been taking this medication for approximately 4 weeks, and I have to say it is the only medication that I have taken that has made any difference whatsoever.
