I have been on this drug for about 1 year. It worked great the first 9 months physically I ws able to excersise again. (was bed ridden) It took time about 6 weeks to feel the energy back. It took 8-10 weeks to not feel so depressed and my anxiety attacks have almost competely been gone. I was also on Klonipin (which was so addicting) took me 16 weeks to wean off of that. Now I am on 250 mg of lamitial to stablize myself. I am 5 feet I have gained from 115lbs to 155lbs in a very short period of time.. They say do to the cymbalta 60mgs 1 time in the morning...or I cant sleep at night and have nightmares. I am not feeling that energy any more, my liver enzyme test was elevated. One doc says the meds the other says I gained to much weight to fast do to the meds.. I mentally feel ok.. not soo very very down , but not the best Ive felt.. Probably do to the major amount of stress I amm in now.. I cant deal with things like I use to. Oh well I hope to try to wean off this med soon and try another or less of it.. Oh yea I have never been on any meds before little lone a tylenol.. Now after 3 months I cant imagine life without it. I am so energized and happy again. The only side effect I noticed was dry mouth in the first 2 weeks..it was a miracle pill for me! I have been on Simvastatin (40 mg.) for 3 weeks and took myself off them. I was having such severe back pain to the point I almost had my husband take me to emergency. Since going off this medicine, I am MUCH better. The pain in my back and shoulders is getting better every day, and I have more energy. I am going back on Crestor (10 mg.) with a blood test in 6 weeks and another one in 3 months. (I am tested every 3 months for lipids and muscle enzymes.) I listened to my body this time! My doctor told me to get off them immediately. I couldn't even roll over in bed without my back hurting. I'm waiting until the Simvastatin is out of my system before starting back on Crestor. Please listen to your body....I have learned over the years to know when something is just not right. And it only took 3 weeks for my body to become "not right." had hsv-1 oral since 6/08. (xwife had affair and contracted through them) have abstained since then and finally i found valtrex after reading up on this virus. after a dental visit last month it was 8 months since last outbreak(visibly on lips), ive had few in between but as mouth ulcers not going outside lips but anyways i now take 500mg valtrex daily once/suppresion and if i get recurrent i am given 15grams xtra each fill at the pharmacy so im set. and will take 2grams 12 hours apart one day, next 3 days 1gram twice a day, then back to once a day.
