I have been on just about every drug out there for my ADD. Many required multiple dosings throughout the day, which was like being on a rollercoaster. Adderall XR was a once daily dose in the AM, but the side effects such as major loss of appetite, extreme ups and downs, and insomnia were truly difficult to deal with, although the medication was otherwise effective. When Zovirax (Brand) came out, I was put on a once daily dose of 30mg in the morning (about 8am). Immediately, I noticed that I was able to eat throughout the day, the effects of the medication were level throughout the day (no extreme ups or downs), and at bedtime, I was able to get to sleep fairly quickly. I'm not saying that everyone who takes Zovirax (Brand) will have the same experience on it as I do, but if you want to try something which seems fairly mild with few side effects and that works very well to quell the unpleasant symptoms of ADD/ADHD, I say talk to your doctor and give it a try. My 12 year old son was just switched from ritalin to concerta. This is supposed to not only keep him focused at school but control his behavior. He has been on for a week now and so far everything has been fine. No side effects. I hope it stays that way! He is on 18mg once daily. I give it to him in the morning before school and this is supposed to keep him on the right track for at least 12 hours according to the doc. I've been using benicar for 3 yrsnow.at first no sise effects and controlled bp.Now I'm tired and fatigued.Ive had shortness of breath and a cough which is more persistent .I've had itching and joint pain and need to stop as soon as possible.I'm on 10 ml so it's not even a high dose.Hair as also decreased.I've lost about 45 lbs,over the last 2 yrs.I'm hoping to completely get off this drug.I'm not sure if i wuld recommend this drug to anyone. by SANTIAGO from Kings Mills, OH
