I have Degenerative Disc Disease and have severe pain from a previously herniated disc and bulging discs. The Prozac took a day or two to help with the pain, but it seemed to make me just not care about the pain. I felt clumsy and was very forgetful. I still have episodes where I am speaking and forget what I am talking about mid-sentence. I forgot to take them today and boy oh boy, the pain came back, so I guess they do work. Switched from lisinopril for cough and pain under breast from front around to back. I am wondering if anyone had any problems with headaches from Prozac. Also I never had any swelling in my hands from lisinopril but seem to with Prozac by OCTAVIO from Good Hart, MI
I had horrible side effects (body aches, joint and muscle pain, headaches, hallucinations, insomnia, anxiety, heart palpitations, etc.). I did some research and I am currently trying to detox using calcium (tums or vitamins), magnesium (liquid antacids or vitamins), orange juice, apple juice, and grapefruit juice which all limit the absorption of the drug. A high protein and high fiber diet with no refined sugars is suppose to help. Drink plenty of water and add a B-Complex to help with Anemia (another side effect). I have been taking it for 5 days! I have lost 12 pounds, I work out 30 minutes every night after dinner and I eat a 1200 calorie diet daily. I couldn't stand the jitters I had in the beginning but they have passed so overall I have almost no appetite, take tylenol pm to help me sleep and I have so much energy that I pretty much don't stop until 10 at night.
