I originally was on Propecia but then moved on to Armour Thyroid b/c Propecia DID NOT allow me to feel 100%! I felt crappy after 2 years of taking it, but then I did my research on Armour and it was a life saver!! But now that it is on back order & no one is sure when it will be back in rotation I've found myself back on this roller coaster called Propecia. It's HORRIBLE!! My head is in a fog, my mood swings are too often and annoying, my work productivity is starting to become victim and I can't get myself off of the couch. Not even exercising is working, its actually wearing me down. This sucks!! What can I do to help bring Armour Thyroid back into rotation!! And as for all of the physicians out there who don't want their patients on Armour...DON'T TELL ME HOW I FEEL!!! Everyone is different and my situation is unique to me. I had a severe and rare allergic reaction to this medication involving involuntary tremors, full body bloating, nausea, abdominal pain. Only after ending up in the emergency room thinking I had a new problem did I find out that this medication was the cause of these symptoms. My husband has been on this med for a long time. He has complained of watery eyes, sinus problems, cough, but we attributed it to his COPD. It did help his HBP, but just had a very scary reaction: a dangerously swollen tongue. Rushed to ER, they got him immediately. The first thing the dr. asked was: are you on Lisinopril? Yes. They have seen this reaction many times before from people who have taken it for a long time, and even after they have quit. He was admitted to Critical Care Unit overnight. Very jarring experience as he's never had ANYTHING like that before. The med has been discontinued and he will need to get another one to help the diltiazen keep the BP down. I have Bipolar II with Anxiety. I have been on Wellbutrin for 3 years. It difinately helps my insomnia but I still wake a couple of times a night- with the munchies!- I also have RLS when taking this medication which Requip releaves. I didn't have RLS until I started this medication. I am groggy in the morning but awake and able to function after a couple of hours. I take 50 mg, last summer I became severely depressed and upped it to 100 which helped after a few weeks. Now I am down to 50mg again. I have few mood swings and when I do, they are milder and shorter in duration. Side effects are inability to concentrate sometimes, and memory problems. I once didn't recognize the principal at the school where I have worked for over 3 years!
