I am an adult 47 y/o female dx'd with ADD about 20 years ago. Tried every drug out there for ADD. This drug did help me to feel more relaxed but i didn't notice that it help me focus. I had the chills a lot, though when i decreased from 80 to 60mg that subsided somewhat. A big plus my decrease in appetite which helped me to lose the remaining 12 lbs i had put on over 4 years. I would take the drug mid day around 1pm with a meal to avoid nausea , but then around 7-8pm i would be sooooo sleepy that i couldn't stay up past 9pm. I am currently on day 4 without it as i noticed i was using it more for weight control than anything else. I also experienced a twitch around my mouth for a day or two which went away. No sexual side effects. No problem according to my dr with going off cold turkey-last time i did though, i noticed i became more emotional. The drug did make me feel a little void of emotion. i had chest pains and went to the ER and i had some sort of sinus and chest infection and was treated with Seroquel , after the 4th day i felt pain in my the back of my legs and thighs as if i just ran for 10 miles or lifted a truck for 3 blocks,i', going to follow up with my doctor by SHELTON from Clinton, SC

i have been on topamax appx 6yrs. just recently went to the generic. we had to increase my does by 50mg but it is so much cheaper. other than that i had very good luck with using this medication. everyone is different but i would recommend giving it a try. by EZRA from Rock Hill, NY
