I've been taking this medication since 2002. I never noticed a cough until I read these reviews. I have to cut a 20mg pill in half so I don't lower my BP to fast. When I take a 10mg pill, Sometimes when I work hard and expel a lot of sweat, I start to feel very dizzy, I get pale, And get the cold sweats from my forehead and I have to lay down. I've experienced this for 7 years now. It's a result of extreme lowered BP. I've checked my BP when experiencing this feeling and my BP was 99 over 55 and yes, I literally felt like passing out. Just wanted to respond to the person who said they get sleepy. I’ve had a similar reaction to you. I felt very sleepy for a few days and also had a calmness to me that felt the way I did when I was taking Zoloft (antidepressant/anti-anxiety). I never feel jittery, though I do feel dizzy sometimes if I stand up too fast. I don’t feel unusually sleepy anymore but I don’t have the increased energy that others talk about either. The dry mouth is more than I can bare sometimes. I woke up one morning with bite marks on my tongue and the inside of my mouth, maybe from my mouth being so dry it causes my lips to stick to my teeth. Really gross! I also get stomach pain occasionally. Other than that, I have had no major problems. The benefits are great. In the first couple of weeks, I never thought about eating until I heard my stomach growling. It got me through the holidays wonderfully. I worry that maybe I am not getting enough nutrition. I am now journaling my eating on www.thedailyplate.com (through www.livestrong.com). I have lost weight but I have recently decided to wean myself off. Everything that I read says that most people more than likely gain the weight back. The idea of losing 30-35 lbs and then regaining it is heartbreaking. This medicine really worked for my depression and anxiety. The only problem is when I tried to get off the medicine when I became pregnant I had HORRIBLE withdraw symtoms. I had nightmares, vomiting, panic attacks, major depression, sweats, etc. This really scared me cause I don't think I can ever get off this medicine now because I can't function when I don't take it. by BARRETT from Carmichaels, PA

I have Osteoarthritis, Fibromalgia, as well as several other severe medical conditions. This as well as other meds. were prescribed to help with pain, since I began to refuse any more narcotic treatment. I have been taking this every four hours for over a year. Alone this has no effect, but combined with Tramadol and others I still get little relief.
