I would not recommend this drug to anyone. Ever. My doctor prescribed it because of the non stimulant/non addictive "benefit". I was on this for one week. I could feel side effects after one day..I felt sad, tired and so unmotivated. My muscles hurt and I was cold all the time like I had the flu. I thought this would all go away eventually. By day 6 all I wanted to do was lay in bed and cry. I cried all day about everything. I hated myself, thought everyone was against me and saw and heard things that weren't there. By day 7 I wanted to die..literally die. If my boyfriend was not around to talk some sense into me who knows what would have happened? It was the worst week of my life and I have never been a depressed person..quite the opposite!! I called my doctor the next day and said take me off of this!! I am 29 years old and she had me on 40mg..I have now started adderall 5mg and besides a little nausea it is working great!! I had a Stage 1 tumor. Only had to have lumpectomy, sentinel node, and 33 radiation treatments. I have been on Tamoxifen since March of 2011. Being of menopausal age, the night sweats I had previously became much worse. My oncologist recommended Effexor, which has helped with moods. However, I get up each morning achy, with pain in my knees and legs,sometimes my hands. Physically, I feel worse than I did when I started the Tamoxifen, but my oncologist hasn't recommended a change. I would never rate this drug as anything other than horrible. I started taking this medication at 18 years old for the after pain of Shingles. It was nothing but problems, side effects were horrible, weight gain was horrible, and even to this day - I have heaviness in my legs and cramping that I never had before that medication. I have been on this med.for about 7 wks.I went from 194lbs-178lbs!I feel great.However i do have a dry mouth,which is actually good because you then drink more water.I also have trouble fallen asleep i just want to keep moving even though i feel tired. It does decresse your appetite & your taste.Before i really didn't care what i ate so as long as i ate,now im a picky eater.I crave certain foods and just eat it,I just don't eat as much.I also found if you eat within 30 min.of taking thsi med.you don't feel as hungry & you actually forget about eating.btw thia ia the 1st diet drug i have ever used.Good Luck to all!!!! by BORIS from Santa Rosa Beach, FL
