Tried celexa, paxal and gained weight rapidly - 40 lbs in 18 mos. Then tried lexapro, continued to gain 20 more lbs, eventually stopped working for me. Ceftin XR is much better, but don't try to go off suddenly. Miserable side effects. No weight gain on this which is a plus. Have taken off weight gained on other antidepressants. After 3 days, was an emotional basketcase, crying, sensitive, not sleeping. Initally started on 25 mg in 91- up dose to 50mg after husband heart surgery in 93. Worked well for a while, than in 99 was put on Wellburtin 150 for ADD, up dose to 300m but still did not fell the full potential for this drug, up dose to 450 mg good for 2 weeks then back to old feelings of not wanting to do anything.
