Started approx 1 1/2 yrs ago for fibromyalgia 60mg/day - cut down a lot on pain BUT SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS @60mg (also on 20mg celexa): SEVERE vaginal pain/burning/sharp jabs; vaginal numbness; NO sex drive / ability; foul smelling urine; dizzy; low energy. WEANING SIDE EFFECTS: SEVERE vertigo/nausea, etc. had to wean off in 5mg increments over several days/increment which required special compounding pharmacy as is only made in 30mg and 60mg doses. Got myself to 30mg/day which still eases some of my fibro pain but does not cause the severe painful side effects the 60mg caused. Tried weaning off of the 30mg got down to 20mg but fibro pain returned significantly, so returned to 30mg. Not very satisfied, but better than nothing i guess. by BRADY from Kenduskeag, ME
It took about 2 weeks of taking the med consistently to begin feeling better. Now the constant sense of dread and sadness that I lived with for so long is gone, which is just fantastic!!! I still have to deal with small bouts of depression/anxiety, which I would consider to be at normal levels of every day living.
