I have swelling of the myelin in the brain due to neuropathies from Sjogrens Syndrome. The pain is similar to trigeminal neuralgia and "ice pick" (stabbing, sharp quick debilitating pains) headaches. The pain would vary from 3 times an hour to 3 times a minute. First tried tegretol, which was miserable. Then I tried neurontin and have found much relief. Paxil was very helpful in treating my anxiety. I took it for 12 years AS PRESCRIBED. The problems began when I decided to stop taking the drug.
