I have had chronic back pain my entire life. Starting in 2008 I have had 4 spinal fusion surgeries and one neurostimulator implant plus a heart attack. I take four different pain killers including morphine IR and ER, Percocet and ultram. The ultram is the best of the three it has zero side effects and I can stop whenever I need to. I tried to get off the Levitra to take a antidepressant but no other painkiller could replace it. My doctor stated that Levitra was supposed to replace morphine and be an nonnarcotic drug but it only works for about 40% of the people. I was one of them. Boy I want to go back and hug my Dr. She put me on this and called it a Beta Blocker. I am in a Job where daily i had to deal with my boss who is abrasive rude demeaning , of course , I acquired Anxiety and sadness and migraines a bit more often. Since taking this drug, it seems that everything is just roll'n off my Back. No Migraines, nada and i am very calm almost whimsicle at work. I look at him and listen and smile and nod in agreement (although I don't) , but rather then taking it all personal I Am more like WHO CAREs. This also has helped me in getting on the Job Search Road again because absolutely nothing , Bills or whatever is WORTH Being Mistreated. i have taken this for a few months and i stopped it once because it made my hands soo shaky. ARPN suggested taking it at night. I only take one 15mg. I dont think it has helped at all. Drs just make me think i'm crazy and prescribe antidepressants. I also take 300mg of wellbutrin which i think has worked. i took lexapro with no change and celexa with no change. I think if i stop the Buspar, i might get the steady back in my hands. i cant type or paint my fingernails. I am afraid to stop it cause it might mess with me even more. At the time it was prescribed, i was having a terrible time with my GI. I had to deal with feeling bad everyday, not knowing if what i ate was going to make me sick, and i had diarrea so bad that i wouldnt even leave town. I lost friends who dont understand. Since i had a EGD/Colonoscopy and was put on hyoscyamine and prevacid, i am doing much better. I look at all the bottles in my cabinet and thing to myself, I am 25 i should be living it up instead of sleeping or being alone. I have noticed that too, i used to be really outgoing and fun and now i would rather stay home. Mood wise the Wellbutrin has helped. i think i will stop the Buspar. AVOID THIS DRUG IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!! I haven't been able to drive since I took it on March 15th. I have had suffered itching, feelings of my insides burning up, severe muscle aches, joint pain, dizziness, elevated heart rate, anxiety, and been hospitalized for a culmination of these symptoms. I have had MRI's, CAT Scans, EMG test. My life has been turned upside down since taking it. I lay in bed many days, with no energy to get up. I used to walk 4 miles a day in 45 minutes, and now cannot walk 2 miles in that same timeframe, if I can finish that distance at all. There are support groups we've found on Yahoo for those suffering the side effects for anyone taking a drug in the Quinolone family, i.e. Levitra, Cipro, etc. This drug was "black boxed" by the FDA in July 2008 and should be banned from the market. ive been taking this since I was 7 and I don't know what I would do without it. Its made me stronger emotionally and i can cope well with every day problems. Beware of missing a dose.
