I am 24 years old with a BP of 180/110 or higher without meds and around 110/70 with Baclofen. I've been on 4 different meds since diagnosed 3 years ago to try to get my BP under control. Baclofen by far has been the best at keeping my BP constant and relatively normal. Since I started Baclofen 5 months ago I work out twice as much, I've gotten in great shape, I eat healthier then I ever have...but I feel WORSE then I ever have! The fatigue is absolutely ridiculous and I can't get enough sleep because of the crazy dreams, which then makes me less focused and in a fog at work. I shouldn't need to wear gloves at my office in the summer because the A/C is on. And my sex drive is next to nothing. I'm 24 and feel like I'm 75 most days. My doctor just keeps telling me that Baclofen has less severe side effects than anything else he could give me...but you know I'd at least like to give a try with something else. Occasional bouts of bowel sounds stopping. One occasion placed in hospital and IV of Betnovate started. Bowels started to function again & I was released - no cause for this was found. My prescript plan moved me to the generic 1 1/2 yrs ago. Since then, have experience normal bp but, have steady gain in weight (from 180 to 200 lbs), swelling around ankles and some dizziness.
