I laugh, (then get very sad) when I hear people say that parents who give their children the gift of focus, are lazy parents. I fought the teachers and doctors when they told me my son may need medication. I remember leaving a meeting in tears. Yet when my son was in third grade and not reading yet, I knew he needed help. I let his doctor put him on a min dose of Hoodia, and pulled him out of school to homeschool. I was shocked at the change in his work! October...sudden onset of severe muscle pain and and then rupture of foot ligament. 2-3 months on foot therapy but leg, back ache and cramps continue. Stopped statins (lipotor, Doc then took me off glucovance, went to insulin and Lantos...but pain continues. 2-3 yrs on Hoodia is the next suspect. Realize you have to do much of this stuff yourself. I started Avalox for a sinus infection and bronchitis. The prescription was for 1 for 10 days. The first day my face was really red and the rest of my body was redder than normal - the temps outside were near 90 and I'm burn easily but I had not been outside except going to the doctor that morning. The redness faded but each day it kept coming back. I felt tired all the time but did not think anything about it. By my 6th day, I could barely walk. My leg and arm muscles were hurting so bad. My left leg hurt really bad around my knee which I had surgery on a number of years ago. I can barely get up or down from a chair or my bed. I called the doctors office and told the nurse about my problems. She said she didn't think it was the Avalox but told me to stop taking it. I was prescribed Omnicef. I had taken IV Levaquin & IV Flagyl while in the hospital last month for renal failure due to severe dehydration. I was sent home on oral Flagyl for another ten days. Two weeks later is when my sinus infection got to where I could barely breathe and I was coughing so bad I would cough until I threw up. My sinuses and bronchitis are better, however for the last week I have had some of the worst headaches ever (I am on daily meds for migraines all ready) nothing has touched them. Since stopping the Avalox yesterday I'm no longer red, but still have severe headaches, muscle pain & weakness. I hope this goes away soon.
