Wow, thank you everyone for your imput.Special thanks to the Dr.for the honesty reguarding the addiction issues. I can relate to the person who said someone can talk to you for 10 minutes and you don't remember a thing they daid. I too use adderall for it's intended porpuse. First I would get a second apinion from a Dr. who knows about addiction.2nd I would look at the families addiction history. If you must put your child on adderall I would only do so as a last option where you have tried everything else. I do not mean other drugs I mean like counseling, tuitering, sitting down with your child and helping him or her with homework. I mean really try to find out why they are having trouble focusing and try to solve the problem without a drug. Doctors are just so to quick to give you a drug or to put a lable on you. I can talk to 9 out of 10 head Dr.'s and in 15 minutes I can have them lable me anything I want them to and that is sad.I honestly believe most of life's problems are in a persons heart not our head.Please talk to your pastor as well. I think that is the first place I would start. Im talking to the man in the mirrior more than anyone and I pray someone out there knows exactly what Im saying and it's time for this great country to get back to place where we can get our hearts right with God and repent for all our sin and I truly believe our world would be a better place. I was given 50mg by my Dr. to help with IBS symptoms, Little did I know it would help that and change me as a person. I knew I had a little more aggitated and quick to get angry, frustrated and I have also had anxiety I just dealt with it. But once on this I feel great. I have been on it over a year and just feel like a calmer person. I hope I have no reason to up it in the future to 100mg. The only small concerns is no sex drive, nigth sweats, and I have gained about 15 lbs. But that goes with about any drug you have to take. I take this at the onset of a migraine or for anxiety when I am having a bad day. My doc prescribed a 10 mg dose. Isnt that a bit high?? Sometimes, it seems like the day after I take a dose, I feel a bit depressed. It may just be me thinking that because I have been going through alot lately. Has anyone else exprerienced something sililar?? But it definitley helps me sleep, sometimes I have trouble getting started the next day. Protonix worked excellent for first two years until insurance changed me over to Pantoprazole. I've been on Pantoprazole for about three years now and it has lost it's effectiveness. First started noticing decline in effectiveness about three months ago and getting much worse at an increasingly faster rate. Old symptoms have returned: excessive belching, extreme heartburn, intestinal gas. Taking an extra Pantoprazole helps for about one hour then symptoms return. Will try to get back on Protonix if insurance allows. Tried many meds in past but Protonix was flawless! Pantoprazole just isn't a true replacement for Protonix.
