I have had OCD since I was a child. I have gone on and off Lexapro as a way to combat the OCD flair-ups I would have. After many years of on and off, I have chosen and will continue to remain, on the medication. It significantly decreases repeated thoughts, ticks, and the depression associated with OCD. Yes, the side effects exist. I have a lower sex drive, much lower, but it is a price my husband and I are willing to pay for my sanity and happiness. Wellbutrin can be added to decrease the sexual side effects, but I am always afraid to mess with a good things.
