I am taking for "pain prevention" I took 300mg only at night for 3 nights every night I slept for about 12 hours (great sleep) BUT I had really vivid odd dreams like being on acid (no never used it) while sleeping. Then when I did wake up I was drunk is the best way to say it. My Dr. wants me to take it 3x a day..yeah right I can't function on 1 a day. I am not going to take it again, the dreams are so vivid that if they start turning "dark" I would be very scared. I hate how if you have cronic pain now a days your a "junkie" for taking narcotics 1-2 times a day..maybe some people just need it. Vicoden 2 a days helps me more with less side effects but I'm "dependent" so they want to find something else..well if I took this 3x a day for 10yrs wouldn't I be "dependent" on that too?? by DELMAR from Saint Nazianz, WI
I have only been on this for a few weeks and am taking 25mg twice a day. I can't tell yet if it is help the headaches but I am having alot of numbness in my hands and lower legs and feet. Sometimes it is about unbearable but I am going to keep trying for a while. My doc says he will increase the doseage monthly until we get to 200mg a day but I am concerned about the side affects; if it works I would try to deal with them because I dont thnk anything could be worse than the pain I have had for the past ten years, almost daily!!! Was given this drug for anxiety disorder. I started taking it early in the year and it took a while to work. The 1st 2 weeks were a little difficult because I would get frequent headaches, excessive sweating (all known side affects). Then once I adjusted it worked great. I felt so normal. Went off the drug on own and had terrible withdrawals. I would have really bad headaches that would last for days and frequent anxiety attacks. I even stressed out so bad that I got shingles. Dr put me back on it and its been almost 2 weeks and I am starting to feel great again. I recommend this drug to anyone who suffers from constant anxiety. by STERLING from Ozan, AR
I have been on Penisole Oil for 6 weeks.I went to my doctor 3 days ago and he is now taking me off as he was "extremely worried" about my worsening depression. It has severely worsened to the point of suicidal thoughts and plans, which my Dr. pointed out that this now put me one step away from being hospitalized. I have all of the side effects, sweating, irritablility, but mostly deepening depression.Can't get out of bed or can't sleep, can't do simple tasks and all this makes a person even more depressed.Cry a lot, and hate my self. It's only been 6 days that I'm on Almodipine - so far, so good - it's lowered my bp. Only thing that might be attributed to it is blurriness yesterday morn. Cut my pill in half today and nothing bad happened. Before this I was on Coreg(s), ToprolXL, and Lisinopril and had reactions like others mentioned here, as chest pressure, irreg hrt beat after lying on sides, no lowering of bp. Coincidentally, I think I'm experienceing claudication (heaviness and poor circulation in legs, but no swelling) but it started BEFORE Almodipine. Stopped hydroxyzine, thinking it was cause, after 6 mos use, as something similar happened 18 mos ago, after 6 mos use.
