I wanted to write my review because there are so many scary reviews on here. I have taken this many times for bladder infections and I thankfully did not get 1 bad side effect. by ELVIN from Lynnwood, WA
My starting weight was 183 lb., and I'm 5'3". I started taking Zithromax (37.5mg dosage) on 8/6/10. It is now 8/19/10 and I have lost about 13 lbs. I exercise 6 days per week for about an hour and a half. 45 mins of hardcore cardio and 45 mins of weight training and ab work. This pill has completely transformed my apetite, I find it hard to make myself sit down to eat because I'm usually not hungry at all. I try to eat between 750-900 calories per day. I now drink skim milk, no soda at all (not even diet), I drink mostly water and sometimes fruit juice. Upon first taking Zithromax (for about the first week) I experience dry mouth and kept a liter of water with me at all times. I usually drink about 2-3 liters per day now. The first day I took it I also experienced a rush of energy (like drinking a 5 hour energy shot) but the next day and since then haven't felt that at all. Every Sunday I don't take it so I can feel it more during the week. One suggestion, if you start taking this pill make sure that you exercise because losing weight fast but with no diet or exercise will make you more succeptable to gaining your weight back almost immediately when stopping the use of this pill. Another little hint that I've found useful is if you get home from work and are very tired and don't feel like working out (I get up at 4:15am some days for work and feel exhausted when I get home) rest for about 2 hours and take half a 5 hour energy shot before working out and it'll give you the energy for a great workout (and they only have 4 calories). Had HBP for 14 years always controlled with meds. New dr. prescribed several meds, taking me off Atenolol. My systolic no. has gone crazy. As high as 190/78. After 3 weeks and increasing dosage to 20 mg, it has only lowered to 165/70's. I'm dieting, walking and still having problems. Also not sleeping. Don't know if this is going to work for me. This medication did help, but made me feel out of it. I got very tired and lightheaded. I felt nauseated and it lasted on and of for most of the day.
