I am on day 3 of 7 of Depo-Medrol oral. I have had no side effects other than a little sleepy. I take it with a full bottle of water and a snack. My symptoms have improved greatly, although not completely gone yet. It improved so much, I didn't realize just how uncomfortable i really was with this UTI. I finally had sex again, and it felt amazing! Not like how it did while I was in full symptom swing of this UTI. Going to cross my fingers as I have a phobia of taking medications. Undiagnosed for years diagnosed with HgbA1c April 2005. started Metformin 500mg BID worked well loss weigh no hypoglycemia main side effect gas, minor bloating. Diet exercise helped me lose weight and control blood glucose from 8.3% HgbA1c to 6.5% presently, approximately 6 months later. Switched to Glucovance and Triamterene briefly side effects were harsh weigh gain and hypoglycemia. Switched back to Metformin only, doing well HgbA1c now 6.2%. Waiting for a lung transplant I was on and off Doxycycline for four years. B10 for Before transplant it was in bursts or tapers 100 mg. for 3 days 50 for 3 days 25 for 3 days 10 for 3 days and finally 5 for 3 days. The side effects were sleeplessness sweating high sugar levels mood swings it was a roller coaster. now after transplant I am on a daily dosage of only 10mg. most of the side effects have leveled out with the exception of excessive sweating, water retention and weight gain along with loss of muscle tone. Prednisone also depletes testosterone which causes the muscle tone loss, weight gain(60lbs in a year)swollen face(moon face). Don't just stop taking it especially if you are prescribed a large dose. Wxtreme itching, sore throat, memory loss. Thiese occurred after 30 days on Doxycycline. No proir history of this behavior.
