I've been on V for 7 weeks and currently taking the 40mg. After reading the other reviews I now know I'm not the only one who has the shakes, racing heart, insomnia (I take restoril for sleep but doesn't seem to help), fluid retention in ankles and feet, light headed, static noise in my head and, if I nap in the afternoon, the vivid dreams. I had the diarrhea but no nausea. I have to admit though, even with all the negative side effects, I feel so much better. I've been on the whole gamut of other AD's, this one seems to work the best for my depression. I'm hoping the side effects will subside. I took thid med. for Fibrmyalgia. I took 2tabs at ngt with 1tab of ambien I was also taking Fentanly patches 200mc for pain. I had the worst trip I ever had. I was in total pain I was out of my mind. I was rushed to the Emergency Room and because I was on Ambien couln't explain myself well. I couldn't keep still so putting an I.V. was almost impossible. I am on day 3 and find improvement each day(still guarded!) I had my best day ever yesterday! If I stay calm after my dose at night I will sleep, like a log, but if I get moving(like in the a.m., I make myself go!!),I get over the hump and am fine. So if you're like me , you may need to practice deep breathing and stretches for your night dose, and some lite stretching and gentle motions for keeping going in the a.m. 1/2 caffeine coffee helps, too! This drug is tough, but I see light at the end of the tunnel! If that changes, I'll let you know. I used the Methadone to help with my years of pain pill addiction (taking up to 20-25 Lortab 10/500 per day).
