I am here reviewing comments before starting this drug. After reading all the information I could find on Ultram, not only am I apprehensive about taking it, I can not figure out why my doctor would prescribe this seemingly harsh drug for the minor injury that I have. It is a 3 month old injury that wont heal due to dead skin cells, being treated at a wound facility. Why do I need this drug? The bigger question is why would I take it when the side effects completely out weigh the benefits. I have only been on the drug for about 3 weeks now but I am already beginning to see a benefit. I have not had as many panic attacks and the ones I have had are not as severe. Also, my depression has been more manageable. Dealing with the daily things that cause me stress are easier to deal with as well. When I first started taking it I had headaches and some pretty bad stomach aches as well but those are gone. I'm dealing with dry mouth now but I'm fairly certain that it will go away after my body is completely adjusted to the drug. This has been a God send to me. I am so glad my doctor suggested it to me. I had gotten to a point where I was once again contemplating suicide and could barely make it through the day. I now am doing much better. Made me manic for a couple weeks. Felt like I didn't sleep for months only light sleep. My 8 yr old son has been diagnosed with ADHD severe, Anxiety, ODD and Post-traumatic stress, after we had a rollover were my husband lost his lifeat the the time he was about 3.5 yrs. We went to therapy were he was diagnosed and first started with the Daytrana patch. It worked for about 2 yrs but and in 1st grade it stop working that year school was horrible every morning crying, didnt finish assigments and would even refuse to work, he was bumped to 2nd grade but his learning level was kinder. In 1st grade we tried aderall which I disliked immediately he was so doped up he was a like a zombie, Concentra didnt work at all. Finally in Second grade he was prescribed Standard ED Pack and Innutiv. Started with 40 mg for a few months and by the end of second grade he was on 50mg in the morning with Innutiv i the afternon to extend it. It has worked wonderfully. He works at school, no more crying in the morning, he does his homework with out complain or crying and desnt take hours to do one assigments. He know enjoys reading which was his hardest thing for him to focus on. Last school year he felt and said he was dumb and hated school he actually lost some friends cause of his behavior.
