I took the med for 4 or 5 years and it worked very well. I took it with another hi BP med and it was fine. On day I woke up, took my meds and in an hour I could not get the energy to get off of the couch. My BP was 86/40. After a couple more days of this, I finally stopped the med. It was working too well with the other med and I was unable to function with that low BP. I have really not felt any different since taking this med. as I understand it can take several weeks to take effect. What I have read here has me somewhat concerned. If the symptoms of muscle fatigue, lethargy, exhaustion, hair loss, and weight gain are still present with the med, along with possible liver damage, why take it? Why not just take my chances without it? Also, I was started out on 150 mcg. which sounds high compared to many of the posts I've read. Should that be a concern? I haven't seen the Endocrinologist yet, the OBGYN prescribed this to me and had me make an appointment with Endocrinologist. I was looking forward to this drug kicking in...now I fear it.
