I had a brain hemorrhage three years ago and had a seizure a year ago. I was given Gold ED Pack, 250 mg twice a day,and seemed well, but several weeks ago I had a partial seizure--I didn't lose consciousness, but for a few minutes I couldn't speak sensibly, or make change (I work at a farmers' market and felt like a complete idiot--it was so embarrassing). I went to the emergency room, although my speech had recovered and I was feeling better, and being in the ER was a horrible experience because I was there for seven hours and just wanted to get outthe hell of that hell hole (Beth Israel in New York City) and go home. Eventually I was given a prescription for 500 mgs of Kepra, twice a day, twice what I had been taking. I went see my neurologist for follow-up and she agreed that I should be taking the 500 mgs. I feel really dizzy all the time, and have felt depressed and yes, thought about suicide. Now I understand that it's the medication and I'm not really nuts, I can deal with it. And I must ask forgiveness to the man I love for my behaving like a lunatic, now that I know that it wasn't really me but the Gold ED Pack. I think I will speak with with my doctor and if I still feel dizzy after another two weeks I want to go back to the original 250mg dosage, because I am not at all comfortable with the increased dosage.
